Stunning house in a fabulous location

“We stayed at ‘Indlwana’ on arrival in South Africa and again after travelling north to Phinda Rock Game Lodge, Rhino Ridge and Kwalucia Safari Retreat in St. Lucia - all within easy reach. It was a wonderful place to rest and relax following our long flights from the UK and again afterwards to recover following our busy itinerary, including those early morning game drives. Paul and Terry were on hand to help us to arrange restaurants, trips, etc. which was very useful. The house is stunning, very comfortable and relaxing. Every amenity has been thought of. ‘Indlwana’ is situated in a quiet but easily accessible area of Simbithi. Accommodation is excellent, all the rooms are spacious. BBQ on the terrace, large outside dining area and chairs to relax overlooking the garden and trees. A lap swimming pool on the side of the house which is very welcome after a day in the African sunshine. What we liked best was the relaxation to be found at ‘Indlwana’ and the variety of things to do in the surrounding areas. What we liked least was leaving and we hope to return very soon.”

Wonderfully spacious, luxurious mansion
“Located on a beautiful, lush eco-estate, this house (well mansion, really) is spacious and well furnished. All the bedrooms are large and super comfortable and all have en-suite bathrooms. On the main floor there is a huge kitchen/diner/lounge area which leads onto a dining room and there is also a comfortable sitting room with big screen TV although we never had time to watch anything as there is so much to do in the local surroundings. There is also a fantastic outside dining area with a BBQ and a swimming pool. The terrace looks out onto a jungle and you can walk through this to get to the beach (takes about 15 mins). There are also numerous walks you can do around the beautiful estate. ‘Indlwana’ is a beautiful house well located for the local beaches, golf courses and all the other attractions in this area of Ballito.”

Amazing hosts
“Our stay was made extra special by amazing hosts Paul and Terry who went above and beyond to make our stay memorable. Also a big thank you to Phyllis and Beki who keep ‘Indlwana’ looking at its best. I would recommend this place in a heartbeat and we will definitely be returning!”

Idyllic retreat in an eco-estate with the most wonderful hosts

"A much needed escape from the bustle of city life, my family and I spent 6 magical days at ‘Indlwana’ - a stunning, spacious Hollywood-style pad with huge balcony and pool nestled in the lush greenery of the eco estate (you wouldn't believe it's only 20 mins drive from Durban airport!) The rooms were immaculate, set off by the sophisticated African interiors. Simbithi Eco Estate provides a safe haven from the stresses and strains of everyday life. From the moment you enter the estate you can relax and enjoy the facilities knowing that your safety and security is being taken care of. Enjoy the walks around the estate and feast your eyes on the plants and wildlife which abound. When you want to explore further the beach is just a short walk away and there is an abundance of great eating places and shops nearby. ‘Indlwana’ is breath-taking, everything is to the highest standard and kept immaculately clean. It has to be one of the best rentals in Ballito."

An African Jewel

“Firstly, our stay here was part of a larger itinerary spanning a 2 week adventure in South Africa – a bespoke itinerary that had been created with Paul and Terry of South African Secrets, the owners of this amazing home. But the jewel is the house itself and the welcome provided by Paul and Terry. In a luxury holiday of a lifetime our 2 nights here added their own special touch.
